As those of you who have followed the ceremony of the Ping Awards live on jeuxvideo.com already know: Celsius online has won the Best Web and Social Game Award with March of History. Hooray! \o/

The Ping Awards are the « Césars » of the videogame industry. During his short speech (the video should be online soon), Lévan has dedicated the prize to « all the communities of players of our games, such as the community, still small, of March of History of course, and especially the community of Renaissance Kingdoms. » He has also stressed the fact that « we’re glad as the 10 years anniversary of Celsius online is today » – which is roughly true as the studio was created in March.

Here is the complete list of the award-winners for the 2014 Ping Awards. The overall winner (Jury Award) is « Valiant Hearts: The Great War » by Ubisoft on PS4. It should be noted that Frédérick Raynal has received a Great Ping (which is like an honorary cesar) for his career. We have already spoken about him here on our Facebook page and we will speak about him again in a few days.

It should also be noted that since 2007 (the « Ping Awards » were then called the « Milthon »), this is quite simply the first time that a web game which is not a Facebook game wins an award.
